I use word processors a lot in my personal and business transactions, especially the processors that are bundled in Windows. The latests versions of Windows have Wordpad and Notepad. Earlier versions of Windows offered Write as one of its word processors. Write had
File Extension WRI. Wordpad has File Extension RTF (rich text format). Notepad on the other hand has File Extension TXT.
I still have files with
File Extension WRI. And, I was still able to retrieve most of the files that I needed. Even without Write, files with File Extension WRI can still be used. You can still open them with Wordpad. The files, however, cannot be saved as
File Extension WRI anymore but as File Extension RTF. Make it sure that you do not save them as .txt. If you do, you would lose all the formatting.
